The aim of our research is to contribute to the improvement and development of medical diagnosis and treatment methods, with our unique approach of analyzing and designing dynamical systems in signal processing of medical equipments, by using our method for calculating bifurcations based on the dynamical system theory. Current research projects include the development of (1) fast image reconstruction technique for high quality CT image using active nonlinear dynamics of iterative method, (2) dynamic image segmentation method using synchronization phenomena in a neuronal network, (3) gradient method for optimizing intensity modulated radiation therapy based on bifurcation theory, and (4) pulse sequence for MRI under high magnetic field through bifurcation analysis of nonlinear Bloch equation with a periodic rectangular pulse train.
