The Fire That Broke Out at the Education and Research Center for Aquascience, the  Faculty of Bioscience and Bioindustry, Tokushima University

We would like to express our sincere gratitude for your continued support of Tokushima University's educational and research activities.

¡¡At around 7:00 a.m. on January 19th, Sunday, a fire broke out in the outdoor greenhouse at the Education and Research Center for Aquascience, the Faculty of Bioscience and Bioindustry, Tokushima University (Naruto City, Tokushima Prefecture), and was confirmed to have been extinguished at around 7:45 a.m. on the same day.

¡¡There were no injuries or damage to the surrounding area as a result of this fire.

We would like to offer our deepest apologies for the great concern and inconvenience caused to the local community and many other related parties.

Based on the results of the investigation into the cause of this fire, Tokushima University will seek guidance from the fire department and other relevant agencies, and will consider measures to prevent a recurrence and take every possible measure to ensure safety management. We would appreciate your continued support.
